Felix Solis is the latest addition to the “Rockford Files” reboot pilot at NBC, Variety has learned.
Solis will appear alongside previously announced lead David Boreanaz and fellow cast members Michaela McManus and Jacki Weaver.
The official logline for the show states, “Newly paroled after doing time for a crime he didn’t commit, James Rockford (Boreanaz) returns to his life as a private investigator using his charm and wit to solve cases around Los Angeles. It doesn’t take long for his quest for legitimacy to land him squarely in the crosshairs of both local police and organized crime.”
Solis will star as Nitty. The official character description reads, “Rockford’s best friend, Nitty turned his life around and became a successful South L.A. defense attorney who stayed in the neighborhood to help effect change.”
Solis is now the third “SEAL Team” alum to join the pilot, alongside Boreanaz and McManus. Solis appeared in the military drama as Colonel Martinez during the show’s second season. Solis is best known for his work in shows like “The Rookie” and its spinoff, “The Rookie: Feds,” as well as for shows like “Ozark,” “The Recruit,” “Charmed,” and “Sirens.” His film roles include “The Friend,” “Unfrosted,” “Tallulah,” “New York Story” and “Man on a Ledge.”
