Philadelphia native son and Hollywood star Kevin Hart tried and failed to crash the trophy celebration for the Eagles after their upset Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots Sunday night.
The “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” star could be seen trying to join Eagles players on stage when they accepted the Vince Lombardi Trophy — but he was denied entry by a suited security guard.
An apparently inebriated Hart did managed to crash a live post-game interview with Eagles player Fletcher Cox on the set of the NFL Network, where he dropped an F-bomb before quickly handing in his mic. “Philadelphia is a great city,” he said. “We gave a f—.”
The kooky post-game moment quickly made Hart a trending topic online, with commentators cracking up over the pint-size comedian’s efforts to blend in with NFL stars.
“Sorry, Kevin Hart, you gotta be at least 5-feet tall to get on stage,” one tweeted.
A Deadspin writer offered praise for the guard for “playing better defense on Kevin Hart than either team did in the game.”
