Is Netflix about to raze Fuller House? Will CBS finally call a time of death on Code Black? Is MTV done Screaming? How much longer until I Feel Bad officially feels six feet under?
The fate of nearly a dozen series continue to hang in the balance as the clock ticks closer to 2019, and there are indications that the TV networks may keep fans on pins and needles well into the new year. While a few of the in-limbo series featured ahead are as good as dead, many remain firmly entrenched on the proverbial bubble. And in some cases there’s reason to be hopeful …

STATUS: Season 3 concluded over the summer and it’s been [crickets] since then, although Humans co-creator Sam Vincent confirmed in August on BBC Radio that talks about a possible Season 4 were “rumbling on,” acknowledging, somewhat ominously, that “there [are] so many moving parts to these kind of decisions.”

STATUS: With Netflix cancelling Marvel shows left and right (R.I.P., Luke Cage and Iron Fist), the fate of its flagship Defender is precarious at best. Officially, a rep for the streamer tells TVLine that no decision has been made about a potential fourth season. Unofficially, we’re concerned.

STATUS: The final eight episodes of the critically drubbed Season 5 are slated to drop on Netflix in early 2019, and the odds of the streamer ordering a sixth season (particularly in the wake of that disastrous New York Times piece) are slim to zero. “I’ve learned to say ‘Never say never,’ co-star David Cross recently remarked, “but I can’t see it happening again, I think for a number of reasons.”
