Tom Bergeron has revealed that he will no longer be hosting “Dancing With the Stars.”
The longtime host made the announcement on Twitter on Monday night.
“Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?” he tweeted.
Bergeron co-hosted all 28 seasons of the dance competition show from 2005 through 2020, spanning 15 years and nearly 450 episodes.
In the first season, he was joined by Lisa Canning, who was replaced by “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Samantha Harris through season 9. Brooke Burke took over from season 10 to 17, and current co-host Erin Andrews assumed her role in season 18. “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star and season 19 champion of “Dancing With the Stars” filled in for Bergeron for one week in season 19 so he could be with his father, who was sick at the time.
