It’s the number one new comedy on TV, and now YOUNG SHELDON is coming back for season number two. 

CBS announced here at the Television Critics Association Press tour in Pasadena that it has renewed the popular spinoff to THE BIG BANG THEORY.  The program slated return to the Eye Network from its winter break this Thursday.

A group of bullied kids team up against a monstrous clown in the rebooted horror flick IT, out today on BluRay and DVD. 

And, set in the 1980s, a pilot becomes a drug-runner for the C-I-A.  Tom Cruise stars in the fact-based action-comedy AMERCIAN MADE.

Also out this week – Chadwick Boseman plays the former Supreme Court Justice and civil rights icon Thurgood Marshall in the biographical drama MARSHALL.

For close to a decade he was a producer and star of the hit hospital sitcom SCRUBS, and now Zach Braff   has got a new show.  ABC has set a premiere date in March for his upcoming comedy series ALEX, INC. 

Based on the podcast titled START-UP, the show will follow a journalist who quits his job to start his own company. Braff told me he was captivated by the idea instantly.

 The program, now set to debut on the alphabet network in March.

She’s a hit-woman working for an organized crime family on the mean streets of Boston.  But Mary’s life is turned upside down after a hit goes sideways and she crosses paths with a young boy caught up in the middle of it. 

Tarji P. Henson plays Mary in the action thriller PROUD MARY.

Michael J. Fox is headed back to television.  The actor is set to guest star on a five-episode arc of ABC’s hit drama DESIGNATED SURVIVOR.

Natalie Portman, in talks to replace Reese Witherspoon in the upcoming drama PALE BLUE DOT

The film follows a successful female astronaut who starts to unravel after returning home from a mission in space.  According to Variety, the search is on for Portman’s male costar in the film, which is slated to begin production in the spring.
