As the franchise celebrates the crossing of the billion-dollar mark at the box office with its recent release, the next Star Wars movie has added a key veteran. 

According to Variety, composer John Williams has finalized a deal to write the theme for the upcoming standalone film about Han Solo. It will mark William’s ninth assignment for the saga.  SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY is slated for release in May.

It’s NBC’s hit reality series about a group of aging icons on a globetrotting adventure. 

Henry Winkler is one of those jet setters as well as an executive producer of the program.  He told me the experiences from last year brought him back for more on the second season of BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

And that new season of BETTER LATE THAN NEVER is back on NBC.

The E! Network, moving forward with a limited docuseries from Rose McGowan. 

The actress ignited a conversation about sexual abuse and harassment in the Showbiz workplace  after she spoke out about her contentious encounters with Harvey Weinstein.  Titled CITIZEN ROSE, the five-part program will reflect on the dramatically changing world, through McGowan’s eyes.  The first installment, slated to air at the end of the month.

It’s a new procedural drama from Ryan Murphy the creator of AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

The show explores the high-pressure experiences of police, firefighters and paramedics as they’re thrust into heart-stopping situations.  Peter Krause, among the stars in the series premiere of 9-1-1.

Kate Beckinsale, set to star in a new show for Amazon. 

Titled THE WIDOW, the eight-episode thriller will follow a woman whose life is upended after she sees her supposedly dead husband alive and well on the news.  So she sets out to track him down and find out the truth about her past.  Production expected to begin later this month, but still no word on a premiere date.

It’s a spinoff in the INSIDIOUS franchise, this time centering on parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier. 

She faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet, as she’s forced to deal with dark spirits within her own home.  Lin Shaye returns for the horror flick INISIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY.

Titled UNCANNY VALLEY, the film is based on a yet-to-be released fact-based novel of the same name, detailing life at a failing tech startup.  According to Variety, The book is set to hit shelves next year, but currently no word on a production schedule for the movie.

It’s a new game show from Executive Producer Ricky Gervais that features adult contestants who rely on the smarts of a group of kids to answer questions for a chance to win cash.

Director & actor Fred Savage hosts the program, and says he’s really enjoyed stepping outside of his comfort zone for the series CHILD SUPPORT.  

 CHILD SUPPORT premieres tonight on ABC.
