Rocky Balboa’s story continues with it’s recent release of “CREED II.”

Though Rocky (played by Sylvester Stallone) is now standing on the sidelines coaching his protege, Adonis Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan), we thought it would be fun to check up on all of the veteran boxer’s foes over the years. So what are the “Rocky” franchise’s villains up to today? Let’s take a look…

In 1990’s “Rocky V,” Tommy Gunn goes from Rocky’s protege to his nemesis after he leaves for another manager. The two end up coming to blows in a back-alley fight where — you guessed it — Rocky emerges victorious. So what happened to the man who played Tommy Gunn, Tommy Morrison?

Tommy Morrison was a professional boxer in real life too, not just on the big screen in “Rocky V.” His boxing career came to an end in the ’90s when he tested positive for HIV and was suspended from boxing. Tommy, who for years refused to treat his disease, attempted to get back into the sport a few times in the ’00s but was unsuccessful. He tragically passed away at age 44 in 2013.

Mason “The Line” Dixon was played by Antonio Tarver in the 2006 installment “Rocky Balboa.” The character steps up to fight Rocky, who’s decided to come out of retirement.

Just like his character, “The Line,” Antonio Tarver is a professional boxer by trade. Before hitting the big screen, he even competed in the 1996 Olympics and won a bronze medal. Since his stint in the “Rocky” franchise, Antonio hasn’t competed much. He continued to box until 2012, when he failed a drug test and ended his career.
