Katy Perry Supports Lady Gaga During Vegas Residency Debut Despite Dr. Luke Battle

Katy Perry showed her true colors by showing up to support fellow musician Lady Gaga for the first night during her Las Vegas residency, despite the two women being inserted in the Kesha vs. Dr. Luke battle.

Perry was among the celebrities in the audience for Gaga’s first “ENIGMA” show on Friday for her residency at Park MGM. Other famous concertgoers included Adam Lambert and “American Crime” actress, Regina King.

Gaga’s show was spectacular to say the least, with the “Shallow” singer performing all her hits and putting on a daring display that included multiple outfit changes, pyrotechnic and aerial stunts.

Perry’s support comes at an interesting time, as the two singers are both enthralled in the ongoing legal battle with Kesha and Dr. Luke.

As we reported, the case has revealed that Kesha previously  texted Gaga and claimed that Dr. Luke allegedly raped not only her, but the “Roar” singer as well. The text message from Kesha to Gaga has been entered as a piece of discovery in the defamation lawsuit.

Katy was deposed in the case last year and denied Dr. Luke sexually assaulted her, but said she stopped working with the producer because she “felt pressure” and feared backlash from fans.

Dr. Luke continues to deny all allegations of assault, however the ongoing lawsuit has wrangled in some of the music industry’s biggest stars.
