Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have called “End Game” on their long, drawn-out feud.
After years of rumored bad blood between the pop stars and dramatic airings of grievances via song, Swift revealed Tuesday that Perry had extended a literal olive branch via snail mail.
“Hey old friend, I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications,” Perry’s letter began.
The make-up marks the apparent end to a feud years in the making, one that kicked off after Perry was rumored to have swiped Swift’s back-up dancers in 2013.
Though Swift, 28, has never publicly acknowledged her beef with Perry, she hinted that someone who had given her professional strife was the inspiration behind her bitter 2014 anthem “Bad Blood.”
“She did something so horrible,” Swift told Rolling Stone of her unnamed inspiration. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
For her part, Perry admitted that the back-up dancers story was legitimate — but not exactly as it appeared.
The “Firework” singer told James Corden in July that she had known the dancers for years, and that she had been their first choice of tour mate, but was not on the road at the time.
