Winter is coming. But no need to fret! With the chilly air, falling snow, and the holiday season comes a slew of exciting movies that are sure to drive genre fans wild. Whether you’re wishing for studly superheroes, family-friendly fantasy, thrilling sci-fi, or haunting horror, we’ve got you covered.
SYFY FANGRRLS has surveyed what’s hitting to theaters in the coming months to highlight the movies most likely to get you geeking out. We’ve got a mind-bending detective tale, web-slinging shenanigans, high-flying dragons, and a singing-and-dancing band of zombie killers. There’s a little something special for everyone.
1. Ralph Breaks The Internet
“The bunny gets the pancake!”
Real talk: Wreck-It Ralph doesn’t get enough credit for being not only an under-sung Disney gem, but also one of the best video games movies of all time. So when it comes to this world wide web trekking sequel that has Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) mixing it up with memes, Disney princesses, and new friends voiced by Taraji P. Henson and Gal Gadot, we’ve got two words: Game ON!
Ralph Breaks The Internet opens November 21.
2. Anna And The Apocalypse
“What a Time to be Alive!”
Christmas comes early with this bonkers genre mash-up that’s part teen-comedy, part holiday musical, and part zombie horror. Ella Hunt stars as Anna, a high schooler who is bored to tears in her quiet little town, that is until the undead crash her school’s holiday festivities. I’ve been singing the praises of this totally outrageous adventure since its Fantastic Fest world premiere last year. So trust us: you don’t want to miss this gory and goofy gift.
Anna and the Apocalypse opens November 30.
