Bruno Mars topped the list of winners at last night’s Grammy Awards in New York clinching all seven trophies that he was nominated for including album and record of the year for ‘24K Magic.’

Kendrick Lamar came in second picking up five Grammys including Best Music Video for Humble…which also won for best Rap song and performance. 

Alessia Cara won Best New Artist making her the only female artist to win a major award. Backstage she was elated but said she didn’t exactly feel like the best.

Tom Hanks, set to play Fred Rogers in a new biopic about the iconic TV personality. 

Titled YOU ARE MY FRIEND, the film will explore the friendship between Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod.  In the story, the cynical writer begins a profile piece on the creator and star of MR. ROGERS NEIGHBORHOOD, and in the process finds his own perspective on life transformed.

DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers Television moving forward with a Superman prequel series for DC’s upcoming digital streaming service. 

Titled METROPOLIS, the 13-episode show will follow the characters Lois Lane and Lex Luthor in the time before the Man of Steel’s arrival.  The creators of The Fox Series GOTHAM will executive produce the new program, which is slated to premiere next year.

Mel Gibson, moving forward with a sequel to his 2004 controversial hit PASSION OF THE CHRIST with Jim Caviezel now  in talks to reprise the role of Jesus.
